Our Outreach Program Coordinator Ashlyn Hopkins MSW LCSW joined local radio talk show Medically Speaking this week to talk about fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) & fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASDs). She was able to speak directly about the challenges families face in Indiana when dealing with FASDs. Indiana has not developed a comprehensive screening program for fetal alcohol syndrome, which sets a family up for failure if prenatal alcohol or substance exposure occurred.
