Indiana Recovery Network (IRN) a program of Mental Health America of Indiana, in partnership with Purdue Extension has developed a new education campaign specifically related to rural communities, substance use recovery, recovery community organizations (RCOs), and enhancing community networks for resources and support. (2) CEU hours are available for attending this training.

Learning Objectives Include:

  • Identifying the difference between treatment and recovery, including defining recovery
  • Addiction as a chronic disease
  • Recovery infrastructure
  • Stigma within systems
  • Accessing recovery supports and services
  • Becoming a recovery ready community- we will offer TA on RCO development for individuals and organizations who are interested
