Using Caregiving Routines to Build Healthy Attachments

A child will receive about 7000 diaper changes in his or her lifetime. We often treat the caregiving routines we must do as part of our jobs as something to get through so we can get back to the learning and teaching part of our jobs. In this training you will learn how to turn these tasks into rich opportunities for connection and learning. The young children we care for spend most of their waking week in care so a strong secondary attachment is essential for optimal mental health.
