Objectives:

  • Identify the importance of a substance-free pregnancy and its effect on the family.​
  • Discuss the complexities of mental health issues during pregnancy and after children are born.​
  • Analyze how stress has an enormous effect on the adjustment to the new dynamics in the home, healthy development in children, and the health of the family unit.

CEU Information:

This course provides 1.5 CEU’s. CEU’s are Category 1 CEU provided by Indiana State statute 839IAC 1-6-2(F)(86). MHAI Stanley W. DeKemper Training Institute provides CEU’s for the following:

  • Addiction Counselors
  • Social Workers
  • Marriage & Family Therapist
  • Mental Health Counselors
  • Certified Peer Recovery Professionals (CAPRC, CARC, CHW/CRS, CHW, CCHW)

Please allow five business days to receive your CEU certificate. You will receive an email inviting you to download your certificate from Accredible, our new certificate management platform.

  • Scholarships are available to individuals with financial hardship or parents and caregivers of children with FASD. Please contact us for more information.

  • You will be required to be on camera, participate, and be available during training hours to receive an attendance certificate. This includes not driving, shopping, or other atmospheres that would not be considered like a classroom environment.
