Unit 1 – Introduction

Please read the following conversation and answer the question at the end.

Provider: Hi Marta, how are you?

Marta: Good.

Provider: Your regular counselor has asked me to meet with you for a few minutes today and ask you a few questions, if that’s ok. (Marta nods in agreement). So, tell me how you got here today.

Marta: (Shrugs) I took the #10 bus and then I got off and walked.

Provider: Where did you get off the bus?

Marta: Madison Avenue.

Provider: Did you know you could have taken the bus to Washington instead of Madison? Then you would have been six blocks closer.

Marta: (shaking her head) I didn’t know that.

Provider: Do you want me to write that down for you?

Marta: Ok.

Provider: (writes down the information) Here, you can keep this in your purse.
